Re: Video Card

There is one, but it is more of a mediocre video board if
anything. It's called the Second Sight and available through
Sequential Systems (http://www.sequential.com). It should work
theoretically in both the Apple IIe and IIgs, though due to the
firmware on-board and software available, it is really only of
use in an Apple IIgs.

At present (and quite conveivably in future too) its main
attraction is the ability to use a modern SVGA monitor display
to shadow _stock_ GS graphic modes. Beyond that there really
isn't much--its become an expensive monitor adapter interface
(and a poor one at that, with all the bugs and limitations the
card has).

>what program can use it?

Programs have to be written to specifically for the card
to take advantage of its higher resolutions and color depth
(unless FaceLift is completed and released -- a QuickDraw II
patch). There are probably less than a dozen programs that
support the Second Sight, with the majority being JPEG/GIF
viewers.
