Yes. The cigarette companies dont force you to but cigarettes.

Microsoft, becasue of their stranglehold on the desktop, forced vendors
to pay an OS license fee on every computer sold, whether the OS was an
MS OS or not. Vendors would then have to pay a double fee if the sold a
non-MS OS. DOJ took a dim view of this, and eventually the present
consent decree came about. I supposed you could call illegal, unethical,
immoral anti-competive actions standard business practices.
