Ja, there is! Get the NumberCruncher. It uses a 68881 or 68882 and is
compatible to the FPE. Unlike the FPE, however, it doesn't have the
hardware bugs that crashed the FPE.
Drawback: You may have to find some others who want one ... I don't
know when the next production run might start, or at what quantity.
It accelerates everything that uses SANE, through an init. That init
has been debugged quite a bit from the one that shipped with the FPE,
as well.
And, of course, ORCA/C and ORCA/Pascal can create source code that
accesses the card directly, for _dramatic_ speedups.
IMO, well worth it. I never regretted buying a NC.
