Re: IIgs / Duo Disk / Monitor 100 compatibility question

Thanks to everybody who replied on this one (both email and postings). At
the risk of wasting a little bandwidth I'd like to clarify "why" I'd do
such a thing as a "retro GS."

I teach microcomputers as well as collect them. I'm fascinated by the
older equipment. When I get a computer for collecting purposes I try to
put it back the way it might have been in it's day. I like to include
accessories if they matched the period.

A new GS purchaser would have platinum components while a IIe retrofitted
with a GS upgrade kit would probably belong to somebody with a ton of
legacy hardware.

I want to put this computer together as if I owned the common Apple II
hardware at the time and the GS upgrade was just the next logical step.
This was in no way meant to put a worthwhile GS system together. I have a
Transwarp GS for that ;-)

Thanks again to the group!
