Re: The best way to upgrade your IIGS

Please remove the angry tone of hate-Mac voice, or else we will not
have a normal conversation. I am a IIGS lover, wish that GS user
can upgrade to a machine that is more suitable in running the
GS software, but gains others in between.

Quadra is already a very outdated technology, like 386 in the
PC world. Most software, including the coming Mac OS 8.2, cannot
even runs on it. So you are suggesting something that is not
really suitable.

And back the IIGS emulation - which is important for any IIGS
users loving the real machine, this is important to get a machine
that is closesr in the IIGS. If PC world has a better emulation
environment, I would say go for it. But currently, the XGS is
still not as good as the Bernie, does not support software copying
via 3.5" drive (important for transfering files from the real GS).
Bernie remains the only choice.

Yes, I am a Mac user, and if that offends you, so be it. We can debate
till dawn whether a Pentium II emulates a Mac better (only 68K) or
a PowerMac emulates a Pentium MMX machine better, but it is not my
objective. Being a IIGS user, I want a machine that can make me feel
I was using a real GS (but much faster, and have better monitor
because GS monitor tends to die off fast), and currently, PowerMac
running Bernie is a better choice.

PS: I truely welcome anybody voicing what is the best platform that
support the IIGS (this is after all, comp.sys.apple2). Go to the
Mac vs PC advocacy for those other aimless flames, which I am not
interested.
