MAKING DUODISK DB-19=DB-25 CABLE FROM MACINTOSH DB-19 DRIVE CABLE
=================================================================
Earlier today, I posted an article about pinouts on A2 db-19 cables vs.
Macintosh db-19 cables. Have not yet seen it displayed....
The gist of the earlier article was that the A2 version uses 18 lines,
while the Macintosh version of the round db-19 drive cable only has 17
lines. This implies that the Mac version can't be adapted for use with
Apple II :--(
If there is no hope of rewiring the Mac db-19 cable, then my next effort
will be to see whether the Mac db-19 cable could be used to construct
DUODISK twin-drive cables. Maybe I could attach a db-25 male plug at the
loose end...
Any comments or suggestions?????
