--> OK, just out of curiosity . . .

    I have an Apple IIe, with 1meg of RAM, a 10 meg Sider
    & a Duodisk drive. Obviously, the hardware _can_ run
    AWKS5; but does it need a 3.5" drive to install it?
    If so - there's not much sense in upgrading from v4.

Scantron Quality Computers also provides the program on 5.25 disks. AppleWorks
5.1 will not run from 5.25 disks (13 sides if I remember correctly) but it
includes an installer to run from a hard drive or other large storage device.
It is possible to install it to a Ram Drive but it would be a major pain to
have to reinstall it every time you wanted to use it.
