It is not a trivial upgrade, you have to swap the whole motherboard,
although I don't remember that it required even so much as a screwdriver
to do so.  You can probably still get a ROM03 board from Altech

I don't agree that the gains are many or major.  Most of the advantages
are achieved on a ROM01 through software.  However there are a few
benefits.  You have to decide whether they are worth the cost.
