Yes, it is possible to convert some DOS 3.3 programs to ProDOS. It sounds like
the ones that you are trying to convert are binary files that were BRUN under
DOS 3.3. Some of these can be moved to ProDOS and can be executed by going to
BASIC and then using the smart run command, ie -Programname{RETURN}. If the
file has inbedded DOS commands for reading and writing to DOS, or if there are
hooks to DOS 3.3 locations, the programs will probably bomb. Also, there was a
thread going around a while back about protected memory $300.$3FF. ProDOS
protects this area. Drop me an email and I'll send you a short piece of code
that will fix that problem. Finally, if the files you're converting are BASIC
programs, usually a little editing will correct the situation. More specifics
on the exact programs would help.
