Re: Asimov performs a valuable service; so why fight over it

Piracy exists... Always has and always will! Apple II development has stopped
primarily because there isn't much of a viable market for new Apple II, //e,
//c or IIGS software. Those who are developing software for this platform for
the sake of making a living need to call and get an appointment with his/her
"shrink!" A reality check is needed. I am planning on writing some shareware
software in the next year. I will have the copyright and I will make it
available to Apple II users. Will I see shareware fees? Highly unlikely. I know
that some of my shareware titles have been downloaded from
http://members.aol.com/ljsilicon since it went up in September. Not one check
has been received. Will this stop me from writing software? No, because I like
to give people ways to use their computer.

By the way, has anyone been to Wal-Mart lately? They have an MS-DOS game called
Turkey Hunt that has a striking resemblance to TurkeyShoot GS! Comments are
welcome....
