I'm not endorsing the Asimov site or expressing that I'm against it either -
I'm completely neutral on such matters now. I do think that any copyright
owner aware of their titles on the site - who DO NOT want them there should
promptly request their removal and the site administrator - having due and
valid proof of their legal rights of ownership to the copyright - should simply
remove it promptly without delay.
Others having concern or finding any titles upsetting to them - that they
encounter on Asimov or any other Internet ftp or web site, should take the time
and effort to try to locate the legal owner and/or copyright holder to advise
them of such archives of their titles, files and programs for public access, so
they can act as they wish
concerning their availability.
In closing, Henrick - I leave you with this to seriously think about and try to
visualize from both sides of the fence - everything available for public use on
the Internet today, has its good and bad points to consider and react to - as
you see fit for the best interest of all concerned, as you see it. No two
people will ever see these good and bad points in an equal prospective either
(IMHO).
I've already amazed many (including myself) by motivating Todd to make a
public comment of 100% agreement on a personal thought on matters, I posted to
this newsgroup a day or two ago.
Who knows, you may be moved to do something like that - to (shall we say) help
to heal a few aspects of this newsgroups needs for all of its users and readers
alike.
Best Wishes with all your A2 related efforts, projects and development - even
FlameStation. I may not agree with your logic or attitudes on many issues.
But, I do respect your contributions, talents and all your efforts for the
Apple II and it's users; past present and future.
Cheers,
Tom
