Nope. Despite *looking* and *fitting* in the drive connector port,
the Mac has never had support for Apple II 5.25" drives. [They had
support for a while for IBM PC 5.25" drives which are quite different
at the hardware level.] Apple's idea to "migrate" people to the Mac by
selling them peripherals for the "old" hardware-- like the Unidisk
3.5". Forcing people to upgrade their old machines just before junking
is a better way to make people find the real power in the Apple II, as
opposed to anything rational out of Apple.
