Could you cite the law or lawsuit rulings that say that it's illegal to
loan someone else your copy of something off of TV?
This is analogous to deleting a program off of your hard drive, and loaning
someone else the original.. only one copy in use at a time, legal.
Making *copies* of TV shows for other people (or loaning for the purpose of
making copies) is illegal.. But loaning the "original" (original as in
the one you taped off broadcast) to someone else... That would seem to be
perfectly legal, knowing about the other analogous rulings.
