Re: Creating Startup Disks?
Bob,
No sense posting this to the entire CSA2, besides I'm sure that you will get
more advise from Natahn before long. Any file that you name STARTUP on a ProDOS
disk will execute on boot up. There are a lot of utilities like Copy II Plus
that will allow you to copy files to a formatted ProDOS or DOS 3.3 disk. To
give the student a choice of programs will require you to write a bit of BASIC
code. For example, if you have 3 programs called PROGRAM1, PROGRAM2 and
PROGRAM3, the code could look like this:
10 TEXT: HOME
20 VTAB 10
30 PRINT "(1) PROGRAM1"
40 PRINT "(2) PROGRAM2"
50 PRINT "(3) PROGRAM3"
60 PRINT
70 INPUT"PLEASE CHOOSE:"A$:A=VAL(A$):IF A<1 OR A>3 THEN GOTO 10
80 HOME:VTAB 12:?"PROGRAM LOADING..."
90 PRINT CHR$(4)"-PROGRAM"A
Be sure to save this file as STARTUP before typing RUN. Let me know if I can be
of any other help.
