Help! Zapped Cut&Paste!

Greetings!
A friend gave us a //e sometime back, and I am learning to use it (kind
of). I wanted to run Cut&Paste but forgot how, so I loaded Dos 3.3 Sys
disk and typed "CATALOG, D2" to read the directory of the Cut&Paste disk.
I kept getting I/O errors even though the disk was finally fully engaged
by a drive I now know had problems. Then decided to try to run C&P as a
boot disk on a good drive. It spun its little heart out, but never did
anything. Ran Copy II to see what may have been on the disk -- most
sectors are damaged. The C&P disk did run a few months ago when we got the
//e. Now I think I must have zapped it. Any ideas?
