Just two short comments:

- the Mac also has an eject button: shift-command-1. It has exactly the same
effect as the IIgs eject knob.

- the IIgs drive postpones a disk eject until the motor softswitch is
deselected. This usually happens 1s after the last access. While this prevents
really bad situations and certainly guarantees that at least tracks are written
without interruption, a typical write operation often consists of several disk
accesses where an eject in between is possible.
