There are ways to do this; however, with no bootable disks, the
process would need to involve moving DOS as well. It would be a _lot_ of
bother.

What you need for your GS is a bootable diskette which includes a
telecom program and, to make things easier, ShrinkIt and GS-ShrinkIt.
You can, then, set up a GS-PC NULL modem connection and begin to
transfer more wares downloaded via your PC.

You can find information on setting up and doing GS-PC transfers
(including NULL modem transfers) in the Csa2 FAQs maintained on Ground
...

Start with the file named F00xA2MHALL.TXT

A guy named Chuck Orem used to sell a neat Modemming Starter Disk
for $3. Steve Cavenaugh took over supplying the diskette and, I'm pretty
sure he still does. You can contact Steve at ...

Another way to get boot disks and telecom wares is at a local Apple
II club. (Some have merged with Mac or PC groups; so, check these if no
local A2 club is listed.) Or, your school may have some utility disks
you can copy.

Of course, you can also contact any of several posters and request
he/she send you a bootable disk with one of the freeware telecom
programs, ShrinkIt, etc.. Expect to pay disk and mailing costs.

Well, okay. I'll email the Csa2 FAQs-on-Ground file dealing with
DOS & ProDOS, as well as two which deal with telecom connections,
computer-to-computer transfer, emulator files, and
uploading/downloading.
