Extended keys are treated quite separately on pretty much all
architectures. I'd bet the terminal program on the PC just has a macro
set up to do some things, as I've yet to see a PC term program for
which F4 did anything close to that.

Play around with that program's setup and see what keys it's trying
to send. That'll do the best job.
