Assuming you are talking about a UNIX (or similar) host and you are
running a VT-102 terminal emulator, it is up to the program to behave
sensibly when the IIgs extended keys are used.
What terminal emulation program are you using?
Z-Link is able to send VT-102 keystrokes for the F5-F15 keys, and for
the numeric keypad (including PF1-PF4 for the top row) but I never tried
with anything else.
