Hehehe, yeah shortly after Apple announces that, they will probably
discontinue the Mac and everything with it!

I agree, there's really no reason to go on ranting about Apple and what it did
with the Apple II. It's past, history, done with. It is a bit humiliating to
see how people can go on about such a non-productive (or should I say
distructive) Subject. The Apple had its best years and now it's not really
more than a hobby - or not?
Sure, the people that can do what they have to do with an A2 will be happy
with the machine - but I doubt they spend their time posting news here. ;-)

That's funny. I never used a Commie (hated it to bits) - because I owned an A2
and a Sinclair Spectrum (which was always rivaling with the C64). About the
same time though, I started using a PC. I still love the A2 - there's no
machine like it!
Another point of view.

It's not to do with what machine is better or has more power. The Mac killed
the A2 (probably) and that's basically where the grudge comes from. I owned a
Mac for quite some time - next to an A2 and a PC and a Sinclair etc. the
machine is very nice - don't understand why people are being so offensive
towards it.

>Well, at least we can agree on this! :-)
It lets me do the little hardware projects for my A2 though! I do all my PCB
layout using W95 and really loathe the system - but try getting that sort of
soft for the A2 or Mac?
Hell, yes, I AM stuck with the Wintel machine - but only to do what I want to
do for my A2 faster than I could on the A2!

The Newton is quite fun - a little slow, but it is fun. It works too.
Hell, take it as it comes. They're gonna do what they want in any case -
despite all the moans and groans. I prefer to think of the active A2 time as a
pleasant part of my life - like other people love their dog 'spike' or their
first Baseball bat.
