i don't know if "stuck" is a good word... bear in mind that the ][,
][+, and the //e are 8-bit machines, and the //gs is a 16-bit box. if
we're looking at the ][ series AS A WHOLE, it would be better to worry
about getting an 8-bit card working, THEN use what we learn to get a
16-bit card working specifically for the //gs..... gotta walk 'fore
you can run! <g>

maybe, but Linux is geared for 32-bit machines. we might learn a few
things (like what these drivers might involve), but we'd still have to
start pretty-much from scratch....

i'd be happy to do things like FTP and Telnet! <g> Lynx wouldn't be
bad for a browser, since it's text-based....
