     The problem may not be sensitivity. One possibility is that you
have a mouse button switch which 'bounces' and produces multiple clicks
for each press-release. Another is that the mouse button panel sticks
and is often holding the switch closed-- pressing could, then, produce a
multiple click.

     If the above do not fit, something to consider is that the
particular mouse may not be putting out a GS-compatible mouse click. For
example, the mouse may naturally send a click signal which looks to your
GS like a double-click.
