Commodore disk protection was horrible...I remember using Mr.Nibble to copy
disks that were copy pro'd but still having to crack the disks later because
the r/w head would fly back and forth, hit the end of the disk and almost
vibrate off the desk. The 1541 would sound like piezo buzzer on some games made
in the mid 80's. 

Those books on cracking C= disks (Crackerjax?) saved lots of money that would
have been spent on drive alignment.
