Actually, when loading a program, there was a single beep at the start
(which corresponded to reading a good checksum on the location and
length
prefix), and then there was a single beep at the end when the data
check-
sum byte was read correctly.  If either of these checksums failed, the
message "ERR" was displayed on the screen.
