Performa and Internet access questions
At my worksite we have a Mac Performa 636CD, 33 MHz processor 60840 running
OS 7.51, only 8megs of RAM.
I attempted to install a Prodigy Internet program w/IE3.1 from the December
'97 issue of PI CD(w/I.E. 4.0 for PC.). When I try to run the program the
message that is given states Runtime 68 or something like that must be
installed.
I've had some difficulties w/ the computer already and am not versed in Mac
OS. As a result I'm skittish to delve too deeply as my supervisor's OK w/
Internet on the computer, so long as there's no downtime as a result of
problems stemming from its presence.
My question is: How can I get a dial up connection and Internet Explorer
running on this system with a minimum of difficulty. Are there known bugs
and what are the solutions or work around.
Thanks for any help you can give.
