I used to play a game that sounds like that.  I typed it in from Nibble, 
and it was pre ProDOS.  I made the changes to get it to run in ProDOS, 
but I can't recall the name right now (it was a long time ago!).  It 
should run on any of the emulator's, since it was written in Applesoft 
Basic.  I haven't got a clue where to find it (not even my old copy), but 
if you can find any of the old Nibble anthologies it's in one of them.
