Well, I see now why the Supertext data disk is protected.  I'll bet the
data disk protection scheme matches the protection of the program
disk...that way only the hacked RWTS routine needs to exist on the program
disk.  Hmmm...I suppose there is probably a 'protected' RWTS on the
program disk, and it is probably in an easily readable area on Track #0. 
Hmmm...

If it is the sector ID bytes that are corrupted, I wonder if "Zap" or
"Init" from Bag Of Tricks could fix it...INIT and ZAP are designed to work
on the disk at a very basic level...
