One idea to try is if you have a copy of GS+ Magazine's LaserBeam
program, you can use the Command-F key sequence to generate
a Postscript file like you have done, then open the file on the GS and
delete the first line.  The cleaned up file can be sent on the GS using
LaserBeam to the laser printer.
