Um, nice information and probably worthwhile.  However, you've missed 
the most obvious problem.  Inwords uses the DHR display.  The 
SecondSight cannot emulate the DHR display and locks up the system 
when a program tries the use it.  It is not a power problem.  
 
Actually, your advice may be a bit of a disservice here as the user 
_will_ experience these problems even with beefed up power leads.  The
user also risks damaging his/her system before finding out this 
unfortunate fact.
 
My guess is that the system will likely run just fine with fewer 
modifications--say just adding a better power supply (a Buggie unit, 
or one of the drop in replacements sold by some of the Apple II 
resellers that advertise here).
 
For what it's worth, the "bug" that has hit this user can also be 
experienced by running PublishIt or any Appleworks Timout macro that 
uses the DHR screen (page preview and paint, for example).
