That's not going to work.  The GS motherboard is too large to fit into
a mini-tower.  Your best bet is to try a full sized tower.  It worked for
me.

Most towers come with such a fan pre-installed.

You should be able to find a DB-9 extension cable.  Since I don't
use a joystick, I did not bother with this.

The best way to deal with this problem is to install PC floppies into the
drive bay via a BlueDisk controller.  For the Apple drives, mount the
DB connectors from a UniDisk 5.25" interface in one of the back cut
outs or in a DB-19 door in one of the slot openings.

Some recommend installing the motherboard with the slots vertical.
I have them horizontal and find that they don't need extra support.

Large is the best.  Medium might do.  Mini is too small.  Good luck
towerizing.
