In the Wolf3D thread over on comp.sys.cbm someone mentioned that they had
one of the existing accelerators running at 20MHz. The 20 MHz part isn't
different, really, it's just possible to go that fast since the last die
shrink. Faster parts are usually determined simply by testing and
sorting... slow parts are ones that don't pass testing at higher speeds.
The parts we get are marked as -14, but WDC says they simply haven't
bothered with any different marking. I don't know if this means that all
the current -14 parts will do 20MHz, or if WDC is having them sorted, but
after building around 700 accelerators we've yet to get a single processor
that failed at 20 MHz.
