I take it as meaning you've ordered a 14 mhz 65816 processor. You didn't mention
weather you even have an accelerator card to put it in. If not then the chip is
totally useless to you. If you do after changing the 65816 you will be running at
exactly the same speed as you were before. There's other things you need to do,
depending on which accelerator card you have.
