I also use Proterm 3 and this has happened to me when the
unix system is overly busy. Do you have many users
connected to your unix box or do you have many jobs running?
When I begin to see a pause while typing is when this problem
starts to show up. Try the transfer when the unix box is not
busy and all will be well.
