Actually, I believe most sz implementations should allow Ymodem transfers, but
I don't remember trying this.
Speaking of Zmodem, I did an extensive test of the most optimum block/window
size for ProTERM for (un)accelerated machines at different baud rates
downloading onto floppy/hard drive/RAM Disks, and had some neat conclusions.
I've now found that streaming (SEt $L=1) is fastest for myself. I think I
have an exerpt of it at http://www.stolaf.edu/people/handel/a2/proterm.setL
(just go to http://www.stolaf.edu/people/handel and click on Apple II and then
about halfway down there's a link called "ProTERM's SEt $L Explained") -
