There are a lot of ROM-03 users; so, having the VGC soldered to the
ROM-03 MB does pretty well eliminate using the VGC socket.
This may not be a killer blow to the VGA converter design. The cost
of additional circuits (e.g. to do A/D conversion for the RGB outputs)
might end up being balanced by savings on not having to get a VGC socket
plug-in to work correctly.
