Hi
A grouped response for Paul Schultz & Mitchell Spector
but can interrest others so I write here.
I didn't do modification myself.
One friend of mine did it because to be clear
if you have none sunlight in your back
you see NOTHING on the screen :-(
The word neon is false because neon gaz
asks for 60 Volts to start flashing.
So the tube is simply a vaccum tube with
a resistor inside. Diameter is half an inche.
Larger is near screen larger.
The tube is simply glued to screen edge
with modern plastic glue so you can dismount it
without damage.
For power supply if you want avoid solder,
you can simply add a male/female plug beetween
DB25 video plug or DIN PS plug.
A protector top is welcomed to avoid light directly
to your eyes ;-)
To resume: it's very simple.
Never saw C-Vue in France!
Don't know anything about it, sorry.
