I invite you to look at my Illustrated Guide to Upgrading the Zip GS,
a HyperCard IIGS stack.

Just follow the URL. There is also an SHK archive in the same
directory as this BSQ one.
The chips you want can be had from JDR Microdevices at this
site: http://www.jdr.com/
The part number is HM62256LP-10 for the wide ones, I think
(see the stack to be sure). If you want to go beyond 10MHz,
you'll need faster ones in the TAG sockets. Look at DigiKey's
catalog for the skinny to wide adapter sockets you'll need.
Again, all the info is in the stack.
The info is more update than the one in Nate's FAQ.
