????? What? Then what did you get? An empty casing? (The main box is
the CPU ----- maybe you refer to the 65816 microprocessor.)
You can get the 65816 cheaply (approx. $15 from Jameco Electronics -----
or ---- hack out out of a dead Super Nintendo or from a National Cash
Register motherboard...
The "Woz" was really the oldest original IIgs, and it was abundantly
plentiful. Try to get the upgrade ROM 1 chip (Maybe it already has been
upgraded.
BTW to other listeners, anyone out there selling a IIgs Rom 1 rom chip???
I need one badly for a IIgs that rests gathering dust in my garage. I'll
be happy even to get an EPROM-copied version of the ROM 1 IIgs chip.
(This is the most-needed ROM in the whole Apple II world!)
