Clearly you have the older version of the System Master.  I say that
because when the ][e was introduced, the program HELLO was modified
slightly on the System Master, and the sample programs were moved to their
own disk.

It is also obvious that you have the 'original' "unenhanced" ][e...the one
that puts "Apple ][" on the splash screen instead of "Apple //e".

As long as you are getting the "]" prompt, you are looking at Applesoft
BASIC.  Integer BASIC's prompt is ">".

It looks to me like everything is working, and your older System Master is
just fine.  But neither Applesoft nor DOS 3.3 knows what you are talking
about when you talk to it in lower case.  The major modification to the
System Master when the ][e was introduced was to add a line to the code
that displays the message...

BE SURE THAT CAPS LOCK IS DOWN

in inverse text at the conclusion of the boot process.  Switch to all-caps
for your commands, and you should find that everything works just fine.
