I use an Apple //e to maintain my business accounts because running
AppleWorks 5.1 and using the built in macros it does all I need to do
with it. My invoices must be printed on two different forms. I print one
on a Deskjet 500 and while that is printing a second form is printing
over the serial port in my AppleTalk card on a sheet feed ImageWriter II.
This system is networked toa second //e in my shop so that employees
have access to the informationthey need on the trucks they are working on.
Also connected is a Mac II as a file server and a IIGS to play with.
They whole system can easily be repaired or replaced very cheaply if
necessary. They hardest part to replace would be the 8mhrtz Zip Chip
but if that failed I would probably replace it with an accelerated GS.
