Well, there are a number of things that could be going wrong.  If you
can answer the following questions, we might be able to help more.

What machine is your browser running on?
What browser are you running?
What type of ISP account do you have?  (Shell, SLIP, PPP, etc.)
If you are downloading on a non-Apple II, how are you getting the
files to the Apple II?

Add any more information (like version numbers for software) that you
feel might help and we'll see what we can do to help.
