Thanks for the responses; I had no idea that the "review" I read was false.

I've decided to hang onto my GS for awhile longer (and actually get some
use out of it)and so had hoped that the "final release" version was better
than what I already have.  It isn't.

Your comments on AWGS have also been helpful; I don't think that I'll get
it, now.

On another topic, what programming books would you recommend for a
beginner.  I've messed around with AppleSoft BASIC, I have GNO/ME and some
UNIX books (which I've only browsed), and it seems that C is the language
of choice among programmers; I'd like to get a good introduction on the
general "how-to's" of programming.
