Well, the general rule of thumb for connecting monitors to the GS's
RGB port is to make sure that the monitor can do analog RGB (VGA and
up can do that, before was digital RGB), and supports a 15Khz
horizontal resync signal. [Most VGA monitors require at least 30Khz
hresync] Check the monitor's manual for info on both characteristics.
