Alternatively, if you have a CFFA/Microdrive/Focus, you can get an IDE-
to-CompactFlash converter off eBay (really cheap) and mount the CF
card externally. By having external access to the CF card, you can
easily remove the CF card from the Apple II and use Ciderpress and a
card reader in a PC. Doing this you can copy files directly onto the
CF card which eliminates the need for floppy disks or an Appletalk
connection. This is *much* faster than any other solution I am aware
of. You can easily copy entire hard disk images, or individual files
onto the CF card with a few simple clicks and then stick the CF card
back into the Apple and away you go.

That's how I do things anyhow.  :-)
