new to A2s

I just acquired a set of three Apple IIs, one plus, one IIe, and one gs.  I
need advice on getting ftped software from my PC to one or more of the
Apples.  The gs has a 3.5" drive and the other two each have two 5.25"
drives.  I HAVE found Nathan's site, but haven't found anything as basic as
I need.

I also would like to find an free or very low cost Apple comm program that
would allow the Apples to serve as serial terminals.
