A magnetic field may rotate the image, that's true.

It is worth a try: put the monitor face to face in front of your 21"
Trinitron and turn the 21" on and off a few times...
The Trinitron degaussing coil is strong enough to degauss everything in
front it. You can even use it to erase your floppy disks.
