Good question, though not that I know of. Commercially speaking,
there haven't been any new 8-bit Apple II games written or released
since the end of the last decade (1989-90). One of the last titles
I remember released is Broderbund's Prince of Persia and a port of
Pick'n'Pile. I cannot even think of any shareware titles that were
written since then, although Jim Royals' Star Trek: First Contact
comes to mind. Pretty much any games written in the past 8 years or
so have been for the Apple IIgs (few as there have been).
If you want to purchase old games still shrink-wrapped, you can
try contacting Joe Kohn at Shareware Solutions II (there should be
a catalog listing of titles at: http://www.crl.com/~joko). You may
also be able to get hold of others from Scantron Quality Computers
(1-800-777-ENHANCE) if they have any games left in stock. Too bad
the majority of 8-bit Apple II games are in limbo, probably a good
98% of them.
