I've got a RamFAST Rev. D, and I'm trying to back up my 120MB drive to a
DAT drive, but I can't figure out how to specify what the destination of
the backup will be (the tape, in this case). The disk is at SCSI address
4, and the DAT drive is at address 3. I (nervously) write-protected all
the partitions on the drive (a TMS Shadow) and then selected backup in the
RamFAST system. I selected all the partitions on the disk and then hit
backup again. The disk red light turned on, the RamFAST system reported
(eventually) all blocks backed up (with a few thousand errors), but the
tape didn't budge.
The RamFAST does recognize the tape unit at address 3. I didn't know if
you needed to format the tape, but it wouldn't let me anyway.
Suggestions?
Bill
