Well it's pretty cool to see a post about Wizardry.  I've been poking
away at Wizardry 5 on and off for a few years now.  As a matter of fact
I'm going to play it this afternoon.  I've played and completed Wizardry
I and II.  Lots of fun!

As far as a "secret" to make it harder for monsters to hurt you, I'm not
aware of any, outside of using a "cheat" program to crank up your
character's hit points.  And you'd have to have an awfully high level
for ALL monsters to flee.

I believe I did encounter creeping coins a few times...it's been so long
my memory's getting fuzzy.  And also
by coincedence, a video game store in town got in Wizardry for NES.  I
was going to buy it for my nephew to play, but since levels 6 and 7 are
different, maybe I'll buy it for myself and check it out.

Any other Wizardry players out there?
