Date 2000 problem revisited!

Wow, I sure opened a can of worms! I sent the original message asking the
 question:

 " Will the Apple II be affecting by the so called date 2000 problem we hear so
 much of for main frame systems, ect.?"

I'm still not sure I have a good answer?  If on Jan. Ist, 2000, I turn on my
 Apple IIGS (GS/OS 6.0) and run Appleworks Classic, AWGS and Mananita's
 "Business Works" will they accept the date and go on with business as usual? 
 Two of these programs, as you know, run on ProDOS 8 (AWGS is in the GSOS
 enviroment). Will I need to check the current version of ProDOS 8 to make sure
 I'm covered?
